On aime !

As you know I am a wedding photographer that shoots fashion and portrait. Lately I had the feeling that all the editorials I got involved represented the same kind of bride. Romantic, nostalgic and very floral. I wanted to try something else and experiment with the concept of what makes a bride. This is why I started looking for alternative designers, that worked with white clothes, but portrayed real different options. This is when I discovered Leonor’s work. She is very young and talented, and very concerned with the traditional artistry of clothing design. Her first collection is very influenced with ancient mediterranean artistry, so everything is very elaborated, handcrafted, but simple in the looks and to wear. Obviously the location needed to be natural, but not the kind of natural everybody is portraying. The result is a very conceptual, simple and natural shooting that plays with the idea of a bride, but in a subtle way.
